Discussions covering mental preparation, nutrition, strength training, goal setting, earning a college scholarship and more.
Coaches Clinic:Coach Chertow will conduct a Coaches Clinic at 9:00 AM on Saturday. Coaches Clinics will include not only Coach Chertow's favorite techniques, but also critical teaching tools and drills that will help coaches teach wrestlers to perfect their moves and execute them instinctively in the heat of battle. There will also be a seminar and discussion on Peak Performance Training, Periodization, Mental Preparation, and much more.
Coaches at camp should also consider Coach Chertow's extensive line of instructional DVDs, including his six disc Coaches Clinic series that offers a firsthand look at the key teaching points and many finer details of the highest percentage techniques in our sport. There are also brand new titles produced this year. These DVDs will be available at the camp store and are online at this link.
WHat: Weekend Warrior Camps are intense, small group camps for the serious wrestler who is determined to become a champion!
COST: $200 includes instruction and meals between sessions, as well as free housing with a host family. Special rate of $125 for 2012 Summer Chertow Campers.
If you want host family accommodations, please let us know ASAP so we can plan accordingly.
If you have a fall sport conflict you can still come to camp. 1-2 days are better than none. We need you to register in advance and let us know your plans in advance. You can sign up for specific sessions at pro-rated fees.
HOTEL: We have a block of rooms at the Roberts Centre Holiday Inn (123 Gano Road, Wilmington, OH 45177) where parents can reserve rooms for $79 per night. Call 937-283-3276 and mention "Chertow Wrestling." This very nice Holiday Inn Convention Center is where we have conducted our summer camp successfully for many years. There is an indoor pool, fitness center, business center, and Max and Erma's Restuarant. The Holiday Inn is very conveniently located at I-71 Exit #50.
Other Housing options: We also have host families available at no cost for wrestlers who need housing. There is also a local church where many of our wrestlers have stayed overnight in the past during this camp. Please contact us ASAP if you need host family accommodations.
Innovative Team Camp Format: We spend a great deal of time planning each weekend in order to provide the skill development and training that is most appropriate for that time in the pre-season or early season cycle. Coaches who bring their teams to our Weekend Warrior Camps consistently remark how productive and beneficial the sessions have been in the preparation of their teams for the upcoming season.
